So do yourself a favor and get a real browser if you haven’t already done so.
Actually, it was originally a web browser, but since Win 98 it’s been kludged into all that you describe. I believe it was David Pogue who said at the time of its release, “We’re supposed to look at our files with a web browser? Like, somebody asked for this?”
Yeah. IE’s “integration” with the rest of windows absolutely sucks.
