h1Fantastic Four 01/28/08, 14:52

2008r04p20 Continuation from the third roll, the fourth was also shot at Fern Ridge reservoir.

Towards the end of the “shoot,” we wandered over towards the playground equipment and took some interesting shots.

I’ve decided to keep using the school’s EOS Elan 7, and the recommended TMax 400 film for the foreseeable future (for the purposes of this class). I didn’t like how my Rebel K2 winds all the film and exposes it in reverse.

h1Once, Twice, Three Times a Maybe 01/27/08, 6:17

2008r03p13 Working my way though these photos for class. I need to pick 6 to print I think. I feel I’ve got quite a few interesting ones, but narrowing down which ones fit in the context of the assignment may be tricky. We’ll see.

This is the third roll, and the first in a series of 2 rolls taken near the Fern Ridge Reservoir in west Eugene. David and I wandered around, and climbed up an embankment. Took pictures of small animal skeletons on the ground, of the horizon, and birds in the sky, among other things. What do you think?

These were all taken with the EOS Elan 7 using TMax 400 film.

h1Add some color to your life! 01/26/08, 12:41

CRW_8536 These photos were taken after I finished the last roll I posted. I only had a few exposures left at the last site, and wanted to try to capture some of the same photos in color. I also explored more of the area. Such is the freedom of having digital. You have more latitude for experimentation without spending money every time you click the shutter.

The site was the Willamette River near Aspen St. in Springfield. All shot with Digital Rebel 300D, mostly using EF 28-90mm lens.

If you can believe it, there are more photos after the break.

h1Roll Film… 01/25/08, 13:40

2008r02p36I just remembered a quote I got in my e-mail after that first roll of film. Makes a joke about the pain of film processing…

I said: “Most of mine are on strips of light sensitive celluloid… er.. film, which I have to develop myself, so I don’t have anything to look at yet.”

Mike replied: “You might try some Preparation “C” on those sensitive celluloids. Just apply liberally to your F Stop and wait a few hours.”

Here’s my 2nd roll of film. A little misleading, I’ve been using 2 cameras, and I started this roll first, but it was the last (of 4 so far) to get finished, developed and scanned. Same deal as before, side image to view the rest of the album, or squares to see the individual images.

h1Updates 01/24/08, 12:57

I think I’ve got this Flickr plugin pegged. It now takes the place of my coppermine gallery (though hardly any of those photos are on my Flickr account). I’ve also got the “Photos” tab at the top treating it properly. This will be much nicer, because Yahoo(!) can filter the comment spam, and the hosting of all those images. While I maintain the look of my site when you (the reader) view them. Win-win.

Feel free to leave feedback on forthcoming photos here (I can’t stop you), but I would encourage you to leave feedback on the images within Flickr if you can.

In other news, I helped Erin set up some hosting with a domain and wordpress today, hopefully she’ll nail down a look-and-feel for her site soon. Updated her link in the sidebar –>
