Critical Mass (1:43min in HD)

Critical Mass / Mass Effect – This was also for a school project for a digital photography class. The assignment was to create a very low budget photo book, using 100 photographs, a bw laser printer, and chopped to size a Kinkos. The on-going theme is “textures”. Images were taken using a Canon Digital Rebel DSLR, post-processed using Apple Aperture, and video composed using Apple Final Cut Pro.

Epic 4th of July BBQ (0:30min)

Epic 4th of July BBQ – John (my roommate at the time) and I were bored and thought we would celebrate the 4th of July in style. Story telling using stills from my Canon Digital Rebel DSLR camera, composed using Apple Final Cut Pro, set to the King of the Hill theme song.

Project: Goldsworthy (8:24min)

Andy Goldsworthy – (born Cheshire, England, 1956) is a British artist and was a photographer living in Scotland who produces site specific sculpture and land art situated in natural settings. His art involves the use of natural and found objects to create temporary sculptural pieces which both appear naturalistic and create stark contrasts with their surroundings. He works closely with form and color contrasts to produce works that are both striking and ephemeral (“Andy Goldsworthy“, WikiPedia).

Project: Goldsworthy – Created for my ART115 class at Lane Community College. Spring term 2005, instructed by Carrie O’Coyle. Features the work of at least 14 students and the instructor over two days on the LCC campus. Set to music, 8:24 minutes long, made with iMovie HD on Mac OS X 10.4.

Grand Targhee, WY, 2003 (17min)

Grand Targhee, WY, 2003 – This was one of my first video projects using Final Cut Express 1.0 on Mac OS X 10.3. My brother got married, so that was a great excuse for a family ski trip. Shot over 3 days, about 16 family members have a great time on the snow!
