How long have I been doing this?

Well I finally got around to importing my old movabletype entries from my eryxma backups (thanks to a tip from user imabug on MovableType’s forums). They date back to March 2003. Previous to that I was using LiveJournal for a while, and those entries are long deleted. I think I added 75 entries on to my total here to 136. This averages out to about one entry every 5-6 days, which isn’t terrible, but is a bit slower than I’d like things to be here.

Tomorrow [ edit (11:07pm): ok, so not today, but soon. ] I’ll have to go through and find the old images and the video linked to from these old entries and get them uploaded. After I get it all cleaned up, I’ll be able to trash the old backups I have and start keeping regular backups here.

Still looking for a new host

My server at Eryxma was just offline for about 22 hours. The downtime with these folks is really pissing me off. So if you have any suggestions on a better host for under $5/month with a damn good hosting reputation, let me know.

Really not much more to say…

I kinda want to make a new layout, but that’s too much work and I don’t feel like actually doing it at the moment. Any layout suggestions, let me know as well.

Oh content, my content.

Currently all my sections have some form of content on them… it’s been years since this has been the case. Some of the content is just placeholders for the sake of not having empty pages. The problem is that I have so many different kinds of content, I need a structured layout so I can include just about any kind of content, and it should flow nicely.

I put up my working résumé. I currently have a job I’m very happy with, but it’s a bad idea to walk around with one’s eyes shut. Also, I stylized my album list (which is generating using PHP), and posted my list of DVD’s. Placeholder content for RecSports are some quicktime videos, and ditto Computers with some Googled images of my computers.

Site roadmap? 1. Main Layout; 2. Starter Content; 3. Polish Laout and Content; 4. ???; 5. Painful realization that I’m starting to piece together a make-shift CMS
